The Bellaire Public Library serves its patrons by providing information needed to support lifelong learning. This information, which is offered in various formats, includes materials and events that cover a broad array of topics relating to work, school and recreational interest.
The goal of Bellaire Public Library’s digitization projects is to create, maintain, and provide access to electronic resources which support the historical and informational needs of the community.
The library accepts donations of local historical significance, including letters, photographs, ledgers, maps, drawings, cards, and commemorative pieces focusing on Bellaire and Belmont County. Of particular interest are items from local families and businesses, and we ask that if possible all donated items are identified in some way and dated.
Donations may also be made to the library to purchase a book in memory or in honor of someone. The person or group purchasing the gift book may choose to donate any amount of money for the purchase of one or more books, and they may choose a subject area that is/was of interest to the person being honored. Your gifts to our library in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one are a lasting way to remember a special person, and will be shared and enjoyed by all library patrons who read it for many years to come.
